This is great for accessing your mail from a cyber cafe while you are traveling overseas, or anytime you are away from your computer. You can access SquirrelMail by logging in via the Cheeky Monkey Hosting Website or at http://www.yourdomainname.co.nz/squirrelmail/
POP3 (Post Office Protocol, version 3) email is a protocol that allows you to download your messages when you want to, from a mailbox on a mail server (usually at your ISP) to your local machine using an email client (such as Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape Messenger etc).
Cheeky Monkey Email only and Hosting accounts support POP3 Mail.
The great advantage of Pop Email as opposed to Web based Email is that you can work offline, (ie not connected to the Internet) and use the extensive features of Pop3 email programs such as Microsoft Outlook or Eudora.

Cheeky Monkey Email and Hosting accounts support Mail Forwarding and offer a facility to set up your own mail forwards. You can set-up forwarding by logging in to your Control Panel via the Cheeky Monkey Hosting Website or at http://www.yourdomainname.co.nz/admin

This can be caused by one of two things.
a) If you are using the SMTP server on your domain then your return address must contain your domain name.
b) Also, the SMTP server will only send mail if your POP email account has been checked first. Click here to learn how to enable the "My Server Requires Authentication" option. Enabling this option in your mail client should fix this problem.
You should ensure that your account is set up correctly. Our Cheeky Monkey Hosting tutorials demonstrate how to setup email accounts in the most popular email programs or clients. Click here to visit our Support Centre.
Your SMTP server setting will be mail.yourdomainname.co.nz
However, some customers are having problems sending email because an increasing number of Internet Service Provider's are now filtering port 25 (SMTP) in an attempt to combat spam. If your ISP is Paradise, Slingshot, Telstraclear, Woosh, Xnet or Xtra (and others) you will need to change your SMTP settings.
This message can be caused if your ISP does not allow you to send mail through another ISPs mail server such as Cheeky Monkey Hosting's, you can easily resolve this by using your ISPs outgoing mail server for sending emails.
