launch of our new e-Mini Plan. In August we decided to bundle an email plan and
web hosting plan together providing 50MB
of web space and 1,024MB of monthly traffic - suitable for users who need basic
web hosting and email services, and don't want to pay for features they don't
use.

with our WebMail tool. Our e-Mini includes an optional catch-all address, and you can also set up an

Domain Name Renewal
Scam - NZ Customers Targeted
It appears that internet scams don't always arrive in your inbox! Some Kiwi
Domain Name Registrants have been the target of letters sent to NZ postal
addresses.
A company called Domain Renewal Group has been caught out sending
deceptive renewal notices to some Cheeky Monkey Hosting customers.
The US-based group is mailing out Domain Name Expiration Notices to domain
name holders in an attempt to fool you into thinking it was a genuine invoice
and reminder to renew your domain name.
Be warned, this company is attempting to trick you into renewing your domain
name for fees well in excess of what you are currently paying.
If you receive a letter from the Domain Renewal Group, we recommend you throw
it away. All Cheeky Monkey Hosting Domain Name Renewal Notices are sent by email
and originate from us - links contained in our renewal emails will redirect you
to the Cheeky Monkey Hosting website.
If at anytime, you wish to check on the expiry date of your domain name and
perform a WHOIS lookup, you can do so here.

Multiple Domain Names - Enhance Your Online Presence
A common question we receive in our Support Centre is how best
to use multiple domain names to point to your existing website. Perhaps you
already own a .co.nz domain name but wish to register the .com, .net and .biz
versions of your domain name to protect your intellectual property. There are
various ways to set this up:
Domain Name Redirection
Domain redirection is sometimes referred to as URL redirection, domain
forwarding or domain pointing. Domain redirection allows you to redirect your
domain name to any web-space that you may already have on the internet.
Domain Name Redirection with Cloaking
This is the same as above, however your domain name is retained in the
destination window of the browsers address bar - this is called "cloaking". With
this option, we can also setup the Redirected Title (the desired page
title you would like to appear at the top of the web browser window when someone
views your page), the Redirected Meta Keywords (the keywords or phrases
that a visitor would enter to find your website on a search engine), and the
Redirected Meta Description (a sentence describing your webpage).
Domain Name Aliasing
Domain aliasing, domain stacking or domain parking is creating additional
domain names that would point to the IP address of a different domain name. For
example, if you are hosting original.co.nz with Cheeky Monkey Hosting and added
a domain name alias for alias.co.nz, then
www.original.co.nz and www.alias.co.nz
would take a visitor to the exact same pages of your original.co.nz website.
With domain name aliasing, the URL in the address bar of the user's browser
stays exactly as they typed it, so
www.original.co.nz/file.html would bring someone to the exact same page as www.alias.co.nz/file.html. In
addition, all email sent to
anything@alias.co.nz will be delivered to sameperson@original.co.nz.
In other words, all mail for alias.co.nz is treated as if it was actually
addressed to original.co.nz. This lets you manage email for both domains at once
in your Ensim Pro Control Panel.
Subdomains
A subdomain is a lower level domain. It is added to the left of the domain
name, for example: subdomain.yourdomain.co.nz. You can create as many subdomains
as allowed by your web hosting plan. All Cheeky Monkey Hosting plans come
with subdomains included and can be managed within your Ensim Pro Control Panel.
