Fire detection

Gas Ionisation smoke detectors are used to detect fire and smoke within the data centre. Smoke detection is incorporated under the raised floor and above the cable trays.

Our data centre's automatic fire detection system is linked directly to the NZ Fire Service Communications Centre ensuring an immediate emergency response.

Security and monitoring

The Cheeky Monkey Hosting data centre operates a strict security policy. Staff are on-site 24/7, a video surveillance system and intrusion alarms are in place to monitor all activity within the data centre 24/7.

Several security guard patrols are completed every night at random times to ensure the site remains secure.

Climate

The Cheeky Monkey Hosting data centre features raised flooring and a HVAC Plenum cooling system (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) to efficiently maintain optimal temperatures and humidity inside the facility.

Multiple commercial grade air conditioning units are also strategically located to ensure all servers operate well within their design temperature range.
